Just a quick, short post about a milestone. Holy shit, I’m 60!

It’s a workday for me, and a significant one in that’s it’s the first day of the new school year at UNF. I have the Vuelta a España (Tour of Spain) cycling race on in the background, got my own bike ride in this morning before starting my day, and listening to the constant dinging on my social feeds with birthday wishes – what else could one ask for.

A health update is well overdue, but the short version is things are going pretty smoothly. I wasn’t sure I would see 60 when I was lying in the ICU on April 17. Every extra day is more and more special. Everything seems to have this feeling of being new to me. I guess it’s my new diet that reminds me of that the most.

Speaking of new, this guy and girl are new to the Rush household…

More and more, living one day at a time resonates, but as for right now, and today specifically, LIFE IS GOOD!
