The Macintosh Answer to Serious Magic?

Videocue and its companion Wirecast tries to answer Serious Magic’s Visual Communicator. Based on the demo video, they’ve got a ways to go. Serious Magic has stated that a Mac version of Visual Communicator would only be possible if DirectX and DirectShow were supported. Does the Macintel announcement make that any more likely?
