Today is the big launch of Current TV, the startup from Al Gore. So all I want to do is find out what channel the thing is on so I can watch. I choose Direct TV from the list and then I’m asked for my name, street address, email, and birth year. I was almost turned off enough not to care.
UPDATE: I’m happy to report that the above scenario no longer exists. You now get a listing of channels from multiple sources. I was finally able to go check out channel 366 and . . .

OK, so write this down – If you are on Direct TV it’s on channel 366. I say write it down because as of right now, if you forget what channel it’s on, YOU’VE GOT TO FILL IN THE FORM AGAIN!
