I prefer <a href="http://www.rosoftdownload.com/download/Windows/Windows-Movie-Maker" rel="nofollow">Windows Movie Maker</a> and i like that you can also save your movie back to the video tape in your camera to play back on a TV or on the camera itself.

Well "Well.....", I am encouraging you to look at the Crimes Against Children Research Center’s fact sheet. Of course our prime goal is to protect our children, and the fact sheet provides rational guidelines that are researched and not reactionary.

Have you been on Myspace and looked at these young Girls profiles? They don't have them set to private, for one, and then they post pictures of themselves in bikinis and in sexy poses. Some can't be any older than twelve. Then their comments are references to where they will be tonight at 7:00, who will be with them, and I've even seen them post what they will be wearing. It's Parents Jobs to monitor this stuff. My daughter has one, but it is set to Private and I have the password so I can monitor the stuff that is going out there. You can NOT be too safe when it Comes to our CHILDREN!

Kenny, the key really is the Camtasia (TechSmith) codec. Camtasia does a great job of scaling from the original capture size. Yes, I think I stared at 1024x768. I upload the video using these settings - <a href="http://techsmith.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/techsmith.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=1249&p_created=1197045071&p_sid=VB2tIXej&p_accessibility=0&p_redirect=&p_lva=&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPTEmcF9zb3J0X2J5PSZwX2dyaWRzb3J0PSZwX3Jvd19jbnQ9MSwxJnBfcHJvZHM9MCZwX2NhdHM9JnBfcHY9JnBfY3Y9JnBfc2VhcmNoX3R5cGU9YW5zd2Vycy5zZWFyY2hfbmwmcF9wYWdlPTEmcF9zZWFyY2hfdGV4dD15b3V0dWJl&p_li=&p_topview=1" rel="nofollow">How should I produce my Camtasia video for uploading to YouTube</a>

I'm struggling regarding this topic in regard to how to show full screen screencast without significantly degrading the crispness of he original.

You seem to have licked this problem. Your screencast looks it originated at 1024 x 768 or so, and scaled down well.

For the screencast I'm doing, I'm showing off a web app, and my minimum browser size of the original that I need to show is 936 x 780. I've experimented with capturing the fixed area (986 x 780), and my high res display (1920 x 1200)

My question, what screen resolution is the original that's shown in this post? as best as I can tell the scaled display image is 487 x 405? It looks really good.

I've been experimenting with some free capture tools. I tried using Jing (very good results, but problems scaling the output for rendering in a browser well, also tried uTIPu, also very good, but not completely satisfied with output display.

Any would be appreciated.

Wow that is a real strange bug. This is why I could never use a Mac, because in Windows I have already learned the weird tricks to work around the errors, I can't function any other way.

And the teaser for the larger project is really exciting! I want details man!
