Thanks to this Cnet video, I was reminded of all the stuff that I watched on the Cnet TV shows many years ago. I also forgot that Ryan Secrest was a Cnet host. He’s still goofy. I had a crush on Sophie Formica too. Oh, and sorry, you’ll have to watch the opening ad.

Saying “World Wide Web” really slowly so the listeners catch the unfamiliar term … all this reminds me of just how quickly things have changed, and the thrill I felt the first time I saw an ad with the company’s URL at the bottom. For someone who first logged on to Bitnet (and Prodigy) in 1990, this was vindication!
